Default Korsan Restaurant in Kalkan

Frommer's Review

With its white tablecloth and candlelight, the elegant Korsan, located next to the harbor, is popular among the local community of British expatriates as well as with visitors splurging on a special meal. One glance at the menu and it's obvious that this isn't going to be another banal meal of grilled lamb and green chiles. Choosing among the many mouthwatering mezes is probably the most significant decision you will make during your vacation, with selections like chicken sis with peanut sauce, fish cakes with pine nuts and berries, and humus with melted chile butter. By the time you fill up on the complimentary fresh-baked garlic bread and two or three appetizers, there is sadly no room for the Black Sea-style baked lamb in a pastry crust with mint or the barbecue fish kebap. Even the kids will be happy, with Korsan's special, less exotic, children's menu. A sister restaurant is on the rooftop of the owner's small hotel/pension, Patara Stone House (tel. 0242/844-3076), located just above the harbor.
